New Young Person’s Safe Haven Service in North East Hampshire and Farnham
2nd September 2020
No Limits has been awarded a contract to deliver a mental health support service in North East Hampshire and Farnham. This service is for young people aged 10-17 who need support with their emotional wellbeing and mental health or are experiencing a mental health crisis.
The Young Person’s Safe Haven will enable young people to access instant emotional and practical support with their mental health, providing them with the tools and techniques to enable them to be as safe as possible and make positive changes.
The service, which is being funded by the North East Hampshire and Farnham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), will initially run virtually every Wednesday and Saturday via webchat, telephone and potential pre-arranged Zoom sessions.
As restrictions lessen and venues can be safely used this service will increase the frequency types of sessions available.
Alison Foster, Service Manager at No Limits, said “We’re pleased to have the opportunity to deliver this service to the young people across North East Hampshire and Farnham. It’s so important, now more than ever, to be able to support young people in their time of need and to help bring positive change to their mental health and wellbeing.
We look forward to developing and establishing the service further over the next few weeks and welcome young people’s involvement in this along with any partner agencies in the North East Hampshire and Farnham area”.
Dr Steven Clarke, Clinical Lead for North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG, said “We are delighted to be able to launch this service as young people begin to return to school in September. We know mental health and wellbeing is an important issue to young people and especially during current times it is vital that we offer tailored services to help people stay well and get the support they need.”
The North East Hampshire and Farnham Young Person’s Safe Haven will launch on 2 September and will run every Wednesday from 5-8pm and every Saturday from 10:30am-1pm. To find out more, phone 02380 224 224 or email enquiries@nolimitshelp.org.uk.
