Face-to-face mental health support to launch in North East Hampshire and Farnham

22nd December 2020

No Limits is set to launch its mental health support service in North East Hampshire and Farnham in the new year.

The service, Safe Haven, is for young people aged 10-17 who need support with their emotional wellbeing and mental health or are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Up until now, the service has been delivered virtually via Zoom and phone support due to the pandemic, however from the 4th January, young people will be able to access instant emotional and practical support with their mental health in person (subject to any changes in Covid restrictions).

Alison Foster, Service Manager at No Limits, said “We’re really pleased to be able to welcome young people for face-to-face support in the new year. 2020 has been a difficult year for many, especially for young people who have been faced with anxiety, isolation, loneliness and mental health issues as a result of the pandemic. It’s so important, now more than ever, to be able to support young people in their time of need and to help bring positive change to their mental health and wellbeing.”

Dr Steven Clarke, Clinical Lead for North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG, said “We are delighted to be able to launch this service as young people begin to return to school in September. We know mental health and wellbeing is an important issue to young people and especially during current times it is vital that we offer tailored services to help people stay well and get the support they need.”

The North East Hampshire and Farnham Young Person’s Safe Haven will launch on 4th January and will run every Monday from 6:30-10pm and every Thursday from 6:30-10pm at Shieling House, 30 Invincible Road, Farnborough, GU14 7QU. To book an appointment, phone: 07918 259361.

Online support sessions will continue to be available to young people in need via web chat and phone support every Wednesday from 5-8pm and on Saturdays from 10:30am-1pm. To find out more, phone 02380 224 224, visit www.nolimitshelp.org.uk or email enquiries@nolimitshelp.org.uk.
