Young Carers’ MAST Community Exhibition

Before Christmas, our Young Carers groups had their artwork displayed for audiences of A Christmas Carol and Counting Down to Christmas at the MAST Theatre. The project was part of MAST’s 2023 Community Exhibition Takeover, which included three workshops in the autumn to create the display, and a trip to see a production of A Christmas Carol.

Presents & Posts was the young carers’ display theme, so they created an elf workshop with lots of presents and a post box, even including sounds of hammering, wrapping and chatter.

The three workshops were a drama workshop by the MAST Community Team, a music workshop from Southampton Music Hub, and a session with artist Kremena Dimitrova.
