Free Art Workshops with John Hansard Gallery

20th August 2025

John Hansard Gallery and No Limits are holding free art workshops for young people, to create artwork for an exhibition at No Limits’ Avenue Hub in October.

These workshops will be led by staff from the gallery, who are currently working on their upcoming exhibition ‘Punk-Post-Punk’, consisting of  punk memorabilia from the 70’s and 80’s music scene and curated by Southampton author Philip Hoare. The workshops will give you space to create your artwork and curate your exhibition. No art experience is needed – this is a great opportunity to be part of the very first No Limits exhibition, raising money for the DASH service.

As well as having your artwork on display, it could also be printed on limited edition merchandise for No Limits’ online shop, helping to raise money for our life-changing services long into the future.

The series of workshops take place in the Active Space at John Hansard Gallery in Guildhall Square, Southampton, on the following dates:
– Monday 8th September
– Monday 15th September
– Monday 22nd September
– Monday 29th September

All workshops run from 3:30 – 5:00pm.

To give you time to create your artwork and curate the exhibition, you must be available to attend at least three of the four sessions.
