Opportunities for Young People
Youth Communications Group
Our Youth Communications group work with the No Limits Communications Team to make sure that the things we produce are suitable for young people, as well as having the opportunity to lead on their own projects and implement their own ideas into our communication.
We communicate with them through a WhatsApp broadcast, so young people in the group can give feedback and share their ideas when they have time. There will also be meetings when there are projects and activities that need to be done in-person.
How do I join the WhatsApp broadcast?
1) Add our number
Add our comms team number to your contacts:
07741 668 881
This step is important – if you don’t have our number in your contacts, you won’t get our messages.
2) Send us a message
Message our number number with your name and phone number, saying you want to be added to the Youth Comms Group.
3) We'll add you to the list
We’ll add you to our broadcast list. Everyone on the list receives our messages individually and can reply directly to us.
What have the group been up to?
The group have supported No Limits with various communications projects, such as helping us redevelop the website, our service leaflets, giving feedback on public posters and helping to develop our opportunities for young people.
They also ran their own fundraising project, working with our fundraising officer to create an event in Westquay. The process included creating a vision and a theme for the event, making connections with local organisations to support the event and delivering the event on the day.
