About Us
Safeguarding Charter
Your Right to Feel Safe, Respected & Supported
At No Limits, your safety always comes first.
Every staff member and volunteer is trained to recognise when a child may be unsafe or at risk and knows how to act quickly to protect them. We follow clear safeguarding rules so that:
You are protected
We act quickly if something feels wrong
Everyone is safe, supported and respected
What safeguarding means
Safeguarding is about protecting you from anything that could hurt you or make you feel unsafe, like:
Physical harm
When someone hurts your body or makes you feel scared of being hurt.
Bullying or emotional harm
When someone is unkind, threatens you, leaves you out, or makes you feel bad about yourself.
Sexual abuse or exploitation
When someone makes you do, say, or look at things that make you feel uncomfortable or confused, or pressures you to keep secrets.
Emotional abuse
When someone constantly puts you down, shouts at you, scares you, or makes you feel worthless.
Domestic abuse
When there is violence, shouting, or controlling behaviour at home that makes you feel frightened or unsafe.
Neglect (not having your basic needs met)
When you do not have enough food, warmth, care, or support to stay healthy and safe.
Discrimination or being treated unfairly
When you are treated badly or differently because of who you are, how you look, where you come from, or what you believe.
It also means helping you to:
– Understand risks
– Make safe choices in relationships, online and in everyday life

Your rights
You have the right to:
– Feel safe, wherever you are
– Be treated with respect, dignity and kindness
– Get help from trusted adults when things go wrong
– Speak up and be taken seriously
We promise to listen, for you to feel heard and do our best to protect you.

If you're worried
If you ever feel:
– Unsafe
– Hurt, threatened or scared
– Like something isn’t fair
– Afraid for someone else
Talk to us. You don’t need to go through it alone.

Keeping things private
What you tell us stays private within No Limits unless:
– You or someone else is in danger
– The law says we must share it
Even then, we’ll only tell people who need to know and explain what is happening.
We will never gossip, blame, or judge you.

Who you can talk to
– Any staff member or volunteer at No Limits
– Our Safeguarding Lead: Maria Slevin
If it’s after hours, we’ll help connect you with the appropriate support.

What happens when you speak up
– We will listen carefully and take you seriously
– We’ll explain what might happen next
– We’ll involve you wherever possible in decisions
– Sometimes we may need to tell other professionals (like social workers or emergency services) if you’re at serious risk – but we’ll always try to keep you informed and involved

Your voice matters
You deserve:
– To be heard and understood
– To know what’s happening with your concern
– To ask questions and be involved in decisions
– To feel safe in every No Limits service
Need help right now?
Remember, as well as No Limits, you can always reach out to a trusted adult, teacher, social worker, or call the police.
