Youth Worker – Substance misuse and YOS link


No Limits are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic care co-ordinator to join the DASH substance misuse team, supporting young people aged 11-24 who are experiencing difficulties as a result of substances and to be the link worker with the youth offending team. This will entail taking a holistic and collaborative approach to case holding, and will involve assessing young people, devising care plans and offering specialist substance advice and information. DASH deliver a range of interventions including open access, 1-2-1 and group interventions, risk assessments and needle exchange.

The successful applicant will have experience of youth work and substance misuse interventions and an understanding of issues impacting on a young person’s emotional well-being. They will be competent in managing a case load, as well as working as part of multi-disciplinary team to ensure that young people and their families are able to access appropriate support. A working knowledge of criminal justice and mental health issues is desirable.

Starting salary: SCP 9 (£20,344 pro rata based on 37 hours FTE).
Hours:  21 hours a week. This may include some evenings and weekends.
