Youth Worker (Lead) – Breakout Youth (Southampton and Romsey)

 

Breakout Youth Project are looking to appoint a new lead youth worker to work with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual and Transgender young people and develop Breakout Youth services across Southampton and Romsey

This position is for 10hours per week delivering at least two evening youth work sessions per week with daytime work in schools and the local community.

We are looking for people who are committed to young people and youth work, reliable, thorough, organised, flexible, able to use their initiative and work within policies and procedures. Behaving in a professional manner meeting workplace expectations and requirements while recognising boundaries.

Responsible for the development and delivery across the areas of Southampton and Romsey, exiting opportunity to develop further the foundation work which has been completed to date. This will include supervising assistant youth workers, volunteers and students.

Starting salary: SCP 9 (£20,344 pro rata based on 37 hours Full Time Equivalent)

Hours: 10hours per week worked over evenings and occasional day time/weekends. Fixed Term until 31st March 2020
