New youth mental health service for Southampton
10th September 2019
No Limits has won government funding for a new mental health support service for young people aged 18-25.
The project, funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, will allow more young people aged 18-25 to access support for early help with their mental health through one-to-one support, group work and counselling, helping to improve access to support outside of NHS services.
No Limits have supported 2,822 young people with their mental health in the last year, 326 of whom were at risk of suicide.
Annabel Hodgson, CEO at No Limits, said “this funding will help us provide early support for young adults with mental health issues. The funding recognises that many young adults in Southampton already trust No Limits to provide them with support. By providing this service at our Advice Centre, we will have more opportunities to help prevent mental health crises.”
