Helping young people to take their next steps

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been awarded funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire to support young people leaving Youth Offending Institutions as part of our Next Steps project.

The project, which has helped to support 32 young people in the last six months, provides young offenders with the emotional and practical support needed to transition back into society, helping them to take positive steps and reduce the risk of reoffending.

A young person supported by Next Steps said “I had massive depression, serious self-harming issues and self-destructive behaviour. Thanks to Next Steps I feel I own my issues and contain them before they manifest into reckless behaviour. I now feel proud and happy with the man I see in the mirror.”
