Safe House is a youth group for 16 to 25 year olds.
We offer weekly sessions that are fun and full of activities. These group sessions give you the opportunity to meet and make friends with other young people who have lived experiences of a mental illness and are in a situation similar to yourself.
Safe House works on a supportive peer mentor model of working. It may be social, emotional or practical support but importantly this support is mutually offered and reciprocal, allowing peers to benefit from the support whether they are giving or receiving it.
Through joining the group you will be offered the opportunity to become a peer mentor and participate in our Emotional First Aid (EFA) peer mentor training. However, if you just want to join the group to have fun, get support and meet like-minded young people, this is the group for you.
