Just 4U

Just 4U provides Independent Advocacy and Independent Visiting for children and young people

The Southampton Just 4U Service supports children and young people aged 10-18 who are looked after by Southampton Children’s Services (even if you aren’t living in Southampton), or who have a social worker, and with care leavers aged 18-21.

Independent Advocacy

“My advocate helped me speak up in my meetings and helped me understand what was going on”

Our Independent Advocates are friendly and professional and can help you decide what you want to say in any meetings you have about your care. They can give you information about your rights and help you decide what you want to do. They don’t do anything without your say so and are there to make sure your voice is heard. They can also help you decide if you want to make a formal complaint if you are unhappy about the care you have recieved.

Just 4U Independent Advocates work to the National Advocacy Standards to provide you with Independent Advocacy (click here for more information). You can get in touch with us directly on 02380 224224 or enquiries@nolimitshelp.org.uk, or get an adult you trust to fill in a referral form here.

Independent Visiting

“I feel good about the visits and I have someone just for me that I can talk to”

Would you like an Independent Visitor?

Our Southampton Just 4U Service supports children and young people aged 10-18 who are looked after by Southampton Children’s Services (even if you aren’t living in Southampton), or who have a social worker, and with care leavers aged 18-21.

Independent Visitors are trained volunteers who you meet once a month.

If you want an Independent Visitor, we will come and meet you and talk with you about the kind of person you’d like to spend time with. We’ll bring you information about people who we think might match up to what you want, then you pick the person you want.

Once you have picked your Independent Visitor, we’ll help you meet them and then they will continue to visit with you to take part in activities that you decide on or just to spend time with you – it’s entirely up to you!

If you would like to meet up with one of our Independent Visitors then please get in touch with us on 02380 224224 or enquiries@nolimitshelp.org.uk, or get a trusted adult to complete a referral form with you.
