Hampshire Youth Access

No Limits is proud to be part of Hampshire Youth Access (HYA), a CCG-commissioned service offering increased access to emotional wellbeing and mental health support for children and young people across Hampshire.

HYA offers counselling and therapeutic groupwork to children and young people aged 5-17. We do this by offering a range of interventions under the HYA umbrella:

Service Age Range Delivered by
Face to Face Counselling 11 – 17 HYA partners across the county – more information about delivery agencies can be found on the website.
Face to Face Counselling 5 – 10 Children’s Counsellors based in the North, South East and West of the county, employed by No Limits. The team works primarily in schools, although children can also be seen in community settings.
Online Counselling 14 – 17 Trained online counsellors offering live or email-based appointments from a bespoke platform accessible from the HYA website.
Therapeutic Groups 11- 17 School and community groups developed by counsellors and youth workers delivered in partnership with HYA partners and CAMHS. Groups are issue-based / themed or peer support opportunities and range in size from small (6 young people) to full-class.

Eligibility, access and referral criteria

All children and young people registered with a Hampshire based GP (not including Southampton or Portsmouth) can access HYA services.

Anyone can make a referral including young people, families and professionals

HYA can support children and young people with a range of issues including:

  • Low mood
  • Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  • Anger issues
  • Self-harm
  • Family and relationship issues
  • Bereavement
  • Bullying
