Young Carers in Southampton

Young Carers in Southampton is our support service for young people aged 8-18 who care for an unwell or disabled family member.

Our young carers groups are split into primary and secondary school ages, and are a place to to make new friends and talk to people who are experiencing similar things to you, as well as taking part in lots of activities and being able to speak to our youth workers about anything that’s on your mind.

Our weekly Young Carers groups run on Mondays in Southampton, at 4:00 – 5:30pm for Primary Young Carers and 6:00 – 7:30pm for Secondary Young Carers.

Groups run during term time only, but the young carers are treated to lots of exciting trips out during the school holidays, like water sports, bowling, camping and theme park visits.
