My experience as an intern at No Limits

22 July 2015

My name is Florian and I come all the way from the North East of France. I have just spent my last two months working as an intern at No Limits and it was a great experience. I had to do an internship in a foreign country as part of my studies and I decided to choose No Limits because I wanted to gain some skills in oral and written English, but also because working in a charity was the opportunity to work in a friendly environment. It is always difficult to integrate in a foreign country but I received a very nice welcome by all the team so it made me feel more confident. Richard, my tutor during this internship, thought it was a good idea to have a foreign intern and it was a first for No Limits.

I worked as a marketing and communications intern in the fundraising team and I had the chance to learn more about the great work this team is doing for No Limits. They have to raise £15,000 per month! So they fill application forms for grants, they get in touch with local communities and potential fundraisers, they promote events on social media, they write articles for the website and a lot more. During these two months, I wrote articles for the website, I tweeted and posted on Facebook, I filled two application forms for Breakout Youth and I searched potential fundraisers. If you are a student and you want to have a professional experience, working at No Limits will surely allow you to gain skills and to meet brilliant people.

This internship at No Limits was an enriching experience for me. I worked in an English environment for eight weeks, which helped me improving my oral and written English, and I have met fantastic people. Today is my last day so thank you No Limits for everything and good luck for the future! I am proud to have been part of such a brilliant charity.
