Esther Took to the Skies!

15 September 2017

Last month sixty nine-year-old Esther took to the skies at 130mph on the wings of a Boeing Stearman in another one of her inspiring efforts to raise money for local charities No Limits and Breakout Youth.

The daredevil grandmother was harnessed to the wings of the small two seater plane where she enjoyed the sights of Wiltshire from above!

“The sights up there were absolutely awesome. They [instructor] tell you to breathe through your nose and boy that is all you can do, then the snot starts to flow. It was absolutely amazing and at no time did I want to come back down!” said Esther.

A self-confessed adrenaline junkie, Esther has in the past performed a series of other heart-stopping tricks in support of charity work across Hampshire, including; paragliding off the back of a Land Rover, kayaking the rough Tasman Sea waters and jet boating up the Dart River in New Zealand. She has also previously climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and performed a tandem parachute jump – all for charity.

Esther, who volunteers for No Limits and Breakout Youth, managed to raise a fantastic £1,135, which will be split equally between the two charities to help support children and young people with information, advice, advocacy, counselling and support in Southampton and Hampshire.
