City’s job seekers supported into education and employment

18th December 2018

No Limits has provided a boost for Southampton this year – with newly released figures showing that 30 vulnerable young people have been successfully helped into work, education or training over the last 12 months through their Work Club, with a further 187 helped in their search.

Working with vulnerable young people who are not in education, training or work, Work Club provides practical support – exploring career ideas; finding vacancies, all the way through to interview preparation and beyond. Local businesses, colleges and community groups also offer their advice and support at No Limits’ Work Club, in addition to providing work experience, taster sessions and other voluntary opportunities.

Annabel Hodgson, No Limits’ CEO, said “Many of the young people we see at No Limits have complex issues in their lives which create barriers to entering work or training and often it takes intensive work to increase the confidence of a young person to get to this point. To have helped nearly 200 young people take positive steps towards this is very encouraging and we are grateful to all our local partners who have played a part in this journey”
